A Tower
Towers are massive, technologically advanced structures that appear in Armored Core: Verdict Day. There are a total of 7 towers with a height of 20km each. They also seem to contain large amounts of unmanned weaponry.
Information
Towers are so massive that their interiors have not been fully mapped. There are numerous Towers dotted across the globe. They contain large amounts of ancient tech (from the 4-FA era, presumably) as well as other, good supplies. When they were first discovered, the towers emitted large amounts of Kojima particles, although this seems to have subsided by the time of Armored Core: Verdict Day.
It looks like most of the weapons housed in the Towers are automatic drones (Ammons,Ootechas, Scavengers, L.L.L.s and so on...), but also NEXTs from AC4/FA. This is suggested by the words of the Foundation's Leader at the end of AC: VD once N-WGIX is destroyed; according to him, the out-of-control automatic weapons housed inside the Towers will destroy the humans.
Speculation
- It is possible that these are bases similar to the Arteria Facilities, or maybe they acted as "Land Cradles", containing large amounts of supplies for residents, and also defending itself with autonomous weaponry.
- It is also possible that they even are ancient Ehrenberg type cannons, heavily modified over the years; however this assumption is improbable: although big, the Ehrenberg cannons cannot compete with the height of a Tower.
- Perhaps a desperate attempt by the companies in order to escape Earth while Strayed ravaged the Cradles, as the upper part of the tower looks like thrusters, maybe even the beginnings or attempted construction of an orbital elevator.
