Shatter, also known as Colored Nail in Japanese (カラードネイル), is a Raven in Armored Core: Silent Line. His rank is C-3 in the Arena. He is partnered with Zero in the Extra Arena and they hold the title of the fourth highest ranked team.

Spite (Grudge in Japanese, グラッジ) is a bipedal AC equipped with an EO core, a bazooka, a grenade rifle, and a general magazine. The unit is also equipped with OP-INTENSIFY.

His motivation for joining the Raven order is to exact revenge on the one responsible for slaughtering his family all those years ago. The need to see that justice is served supersedes all else. Given his steady progress, Zero's days seem numbered.
Strategy[]
One thing to note is that he uses OP-INTENSIFY on his AC, so he is able to boost for longer periods of time & also has a much higher tolerance to overheating than majority of the other ACs. However, he's still relatively easy to deal with as his AI is still nowhere near that level of a top ranker (i.e. his AI difficulty isn't that advanced/high since he's just a C-ranked Raven, so his AI is flawed in its attack/movement patterns).

Etymology[]
The name Shatter refers to shattering, the act of violently breaking into small pieces.
The name Spite refers to the action of intentionally annoying, hurting, or upsetting.
Trivia[]
- Shatter's backstory is very similar to Annihilator the protagonist of Armored Core: Master of Arena.
- His rivalry with Zero also mirroring to the rivalry between Annihilator and Nine-Ball.
