Mary Shelley is a Lynx appearing in Armored Core 4. She is ranked as the #5 Original and is recognized as Bernard and Felix Foundation's most revered pilot. Renown for her legendary skill as a sniper, her combat style helped shape her corporation's philosophy.

BiographyEdit

Mary Shelley is a competitive and confident Original who experienced considerable success during the National Dismantlement War. She achieved a legendary status, known as a NEXT-killer, ranking second only to Anjou in the numbers of Ravens felled. After the war, Mary Shelley became the figurehead of Bernard and Felix Foundation. Wong Shao Lung served as her caretaker at this point.

Mary Shelley is shown to be extremely confident in her ability as a NEXT pilot. This is shown by her dialogue with phrases such as "Goodness… Come all this way to die, have you?". This is most likely the result of being hailed as BFF's greatest Lynx and her experiences throughout the National Dismantlement War.

Mary Shelley's NEXT, Prometheus, is a violet middleweight 047AN built for the sake of long-range sniping and potential aerial combat. She uses her NEXT to stunning effectiveness, overboosting to maintain her distance and stay one step ahead of her enemies. She also appears to use an Electronic Counter-Measure (ECM) device to disable enemy lock-ons. .

She appears as an enemy in the mission Empress. She faces off against Anatolia's Mercenary showing no desire to back down from a fight. Following an intense and hard fought battle in the snow, she is ultimately killed by the Mercenary.

StrategyEdit

  • It is recommended by Fiona Jarnedfelt to use close range, but if using a sniper cannon it best to use a sniper FCS.
  • In Hard Mode she tends to overboost, and due to the Kojima Particles in the bay her P.A will drain faster. when she stops O.B use or her P.A runs out, open up with a machine gun or get in close and blade her.

  • The name Mary Shelley refers to the name of the author of the Gothic novel Frankenstein. She was an English novelist, short story writer, dramatist, essayist, biographer, and travel writer.
  • The word Prometheus, the name of Mary Shelley's NEXT refers to the second name of Frankenstein, The Modern Prometheus. It is a Gothic story of a young science student Victor Frankenstein, who creates a grotesque but sentient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment.
