Briefing[]

Information has come to light regarding a possible terrorist attack on Global Cortex interests. The instigators have yet to be revealed, but there is no mistaking their intentions.

As far as we know, they plan to disable one of our Arena facilities and force the cancellation of an upcoming match. Stand by on scene and make sure the attack does not succeed.

An overwhelming show of force must be brought to bear so that our response isn't misinterpreted. Hostilities against Global Cortex are not tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly.

Due to our stance on this matter, your reward will be determined by the number of enemy units destroyed.

Walkthrough[]

An early mission, this can be simply completed with the starter AC. One thing to note is that in this mission is surprisingly easily possible to run out of ammo if you don't choose your shots. Neither of the enemies are that dangerous and they typically appear once or twice at a time. Simply attack them when they appear and hold out until Guernica appears. Once he does, it's nearly over.

Since this map is large and open with no obstacles, it's a rare chance for a sniper rifle with a long range FCS to excel. Neither enemy type will be able to attack you while you can fire at your leisure.

In order to get a good mission ranking, kill as many invading MTs as possible. Decent accuracy will suffice. Do not worry about Gaidoz, as Guernica's primary weapon has very limited range, leaving him only with an occasional small missile to score kills. If you keep up a good pace, it is possible to kill upwards of 20 MTs, and provided that your damage is low that will ensure a S Rank (alongside some 20 000 Credits).

Trivia[]

  • If the player kills Gaidoz, there will be no special addition or deduction for his death.
  • Depending on player's performance, Gaidoz will utter a different comment about their skill when the mission ends. If the player does well, they will receive a praise from Gaidoz in an email after the mission.
