This is a game of cat and mouse bar none. This mission almost requires hover legs as the entire area is under water and your enemy is designed to go underwater where it is invincible. From here it launches Orbit like pods and missiles. When it rises from the water, it has dual grenade launchers that can deal a lot of damage if they hit. A consort is preferable as the consort may act as damage sponge while pilot can aim the weapon and maneuver easily.
You need to stay moving to avoid the missiles and destroy the Orbits as soon as they appear so you can concentrate on the Massive Weapon. It does take a good amount of damage to destroy but it will fall, hopefully before you do.
There is a hidden part, the KWB-MARS Parrying Blade which is on the structure where you begin. To be accurate, the blade is stowed inside structure's supporting beams right above the waterline.
