About
Armored Core is a video game series developed by renowned video game studio From Software, the creators of the critically acclaimed Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls II, and Bloodborne. Their other works include Otogi, Tenchu, King's Field, and Another Century's Episode games. Armored Core games are based around designing and controlling highly customizable mechas known as Armored Cores (ACs), which are then taken on missions for rewards. Although the characteristics of Armored Cores change dramatically throughout the series, the emphasis on adaptability and piloting skill remains constant. In the campaigns, the player is put into the role of The Raven, a silent protagonist who acts as a mercenary, taking contracts assigned by various individuals in return for payments. These missions may vary in their objectives, from mass destruction and AC-on-AC duels, to protection and escort duties. Throughout it all, The Raven will be accompanied by an Operator who relays important information from outside the battlefield. In the end, The Raven's actions will always shape the fate of the world, for better or for worse.

Anatolia's Mercenary (or White Glint) is a legendary Lynx currently working for Line Ark, a maritime city-state that opposes the League of Ruling Companies. Originally a Raven during the National Dismantlement War, he worked for Anatolia during the Lynx War, where his numerous exploits earned him the title, "Hero of the Lynx War". Among his accomplishments are his victories over top Originals like Menno Ruh and Mary Shelley; he is also directly responsible for the downfall of one of the major corporations in the war, and he nearly caused the total collapse of another major corporation when he single-handedly destroyed their headquarters. He is Line Ark's greatest military asset, and the only obstacle that prevents the League from outright annihilating them.
